The bill of rights weakens the power of the government so they cannot over power us. We have the right to remain silent and no one can force us to talk. This weakens the government by letting us have a lawyer and not needing to talk when being prosecuted for a crime.

       Well, This protects us by giving us the right to remain silent. Then people would use this to not answer questions until while they wait for their lawyer to answer and resolve the prosecution. This is usually to help people being accused and tried for a crime.
